If you're planning to appear for NEET 2025, understanding the counselling process is just as important as the exam itself. The Assam NEET UG Counselling 2025 will be conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam for admission into MBBS and BDS courses across top medical colleges in the state.

The official schedule is expected to be released soon. Candidates are advised to stay updated and go through the complete process carefully, as NEET UG scores will be used for admission through Assam state counselling.

Overview of Assam NEET Counselling 2025

Assam NEET counselling is the gateway for students seeking admission to government and private medical and dental colleges in Assam. The entire process includes registration, merit list release, choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, make sure you meet the following conditions:

  • Must have qualified in NEET UG 2025
  • Should be a domicile of Assam
  • Must have completed 10+2 with:
    • Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English
  • Minimum marks required:
    • General: 50%
    • SC/ST: 40%
    • PwD: 45%
  • Minimum Age: 17 years as on 31 December 2025
  • Candidates born on or after 02 January 2004 are not eligible

Documents Required

Candidates allotted a seat must present the following documents during verification:

  • NEET 2025 Admit Card
  • NEET 2025 Scorecard
  • Class 10 Certificate (Date of Birth proof)
  • Class 12 Marksheet
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Study Certificate (Class 6 to 12)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Income Certificate (if applicable)
  • Minority Certificate (if applicable)
  • Local/Residence Certificate
  • Undertaking by candidate and parents
  • Special category certificates (if any)

Step-by-Step Application Process

Follow these steps to apply for Assam NEET Counselling:

Step 1: Registration

Visit the official website and click on “New Registration”.

Step 2: Fill Personal Details

Enter your basic details carefully. Double-check before proceeding.

Step 3: Upload Documents

Upload:

  • Passport-size photograph (with name & date)
  • Signature (Hindi & English, not in capital letters)

Step 4: Educational Details

Fill in your academic qualifications and click Save & Continue.

Step 5: Pay Counselling Fee

You can pay using:

Offline Mode (Bank Challan / NEFT):
Download challan and pay at the bank before the deadline.

Online Mode:

  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • Net Banking

Note: Online payments may include additional processing charges.

Counselling Fee

  • General/OBC: ₹3540 (Including GST) + bank charges
  • SC/ST: ₹2950 (Including GST) + bank charges

Fees are non-refundable.
